I’ve been asked by a few people to share my leg day workout routine. Since I was getting back to the gym after two weeks, took it easier than usual just to make sure I don’t give my muscles an unpleasant surprise! Warm up: - 1 km jog - 2 x 15 free squats Workout (2 x 15): - lunges with 10 pound dumbbells - leg press (45 pound plate on each side) - Squats (45 pound plate on each side) - Leg Extention (15 pounds) - Leg curl (22.5 and then 25 pounds) - Calf raises (50 and then 70 pounds) The key is, while I do take a water break between each set- 2 sips of water and a little socialising 😬 I make sure I finish my workout within 45 minutes. Did you know that one of the smartest things you can do in your training is to continue challenging your core to stabilize the body why syncing your shoulders to your hips? Try this 👇 to do just that ☝️ . 💥Half Kneeling Single Arm Landmine Press: drop down to one knee with your other leg planted in front of you. The knee that’s on the pad, squeeze the hell out of this side glute to create better stability in the hips and up the chain of the body. The leg that’s planted forward, be sure to really dig into the floor to create added stability from the glute and adduction of the hip which will better stimulate the obliques for better trunk stability. As you press, be sure to not let your elbow fade too far to the outside (this will keep your serratus, periscapular and perispinal stabilizers, lats, thoracolumar fascia, and glute complex all working together).
