What is Adversity? There are many different forms of known adversity; Physical, emotional, mental, social, etc. essentially, adversities are everywhere, known as setbacks or struggles they are present form dusk till dawn, big and small. It’s important for us to acknowledge theses advertises and instead of fearing and avoiding them learn to face them, build a sense of resilience and grow from their effects. It may involve stepping out of your comfort zone, it may feel awkward and uncomfortable, but its were we learn and gain new skills and experiences. This stump in the middle of the small pond, I was so eager to get on it just for the sake of getting a different kind of photo, the build up to this was amusing, not for me but for @ninadalton however. It was scary and definitely had its risks, what if I fall in, ill be drenched. Look I know this is a very small example and you may be thinking “well, if you just didn’t want the photo then you wouldn’t have faced the situation”

The knee that’s on the pad, squeeze the hell out of this side glute to create better stability in the hips and up the chain of the body. The leg that’s planted forward, be sure to really dig into the floor to create added stability from the glute and adduction of the hip which will better stimulate the obliques for better trunk stability. When you are burning fat during exercise , inevitably you are working out at a lower intensity and burning lower calories per minute. .. Eating a pre-workout meal or a snack will give you more energy, stamina and help blast through your fat stores and build muscles. .. There are 2 pre-workout options: 1. Eat a nutritionally balanced meal 1-2 hours before exercise. If you want to burn 600 calories aim for 300 calorie meal. 2. Get a snack 60-90 minutes prior to your workout. Aim for 100-200 calories and a combination of lean protein with slow acting carbohydrates. .. .. But, don’t forget to hydrate. These beauties all went into a massive pot of slow cooked beef & veggie stew again and I got lots of compliments from hubby and dad! Skin left on for extra nutrients, and the slow cooking process made everything nice and easy on the digestive system. Hanging out for the local farmers markets tomorrow so I can stock up on all the colours of the rainbow again! 🌈 And only 1 more week until I start practicing from my new clinic space in Springwood! Always an awesome feeling seeing people achieve things that didn’t think doable . @j_kingyyy smashed it today, repping out 100kg for 4 reps today on the trap bar deadlift . She’s never lifted 100kg even for a single rep prior to this, so to be able to bang it out for 4 reps with solid form like this is 👌🏼 . She had a bit of doubt going into it that she’d be able to even get it off the floor😂but stuck to the game plan and killed it, gaining confidence with every rep . Awesome work Jess, great way to wrap up this phase and can’t wait to see what you’re able to achieve in the next training block - proud coach! 💪🏻

Different phases of prep but we always keeping ourselves accountable and it’s fun to share that with one another.. being a #fitcouple as people like to say is not what we are.. we may practice an extreme level of fitness, however to us it keeps us grounded and teaches us about long term commitment & goal setting.. she is currently 11&13 weeks out of her next two shows of the year a qualifier & Miami nationals. I am currently a ways away but 47 weeks from hitting that USA stage again.
