You. Need. To. Eat. I can’t count the amount of times that I’ve said this to a client. It is common thought that in order to lose weight you must “diet” or eat as little as possible. This couldn’t be more WRONG. Do you need to be in a caloric deficit to lose weight? Yes, but if you start off eating 3500 calories per day and decide to “diet” and eat only 900 calories per day you are going to starve your body. When your body is in starvation mode it holds on to every single one of those 900 calories that you give it, it runs slower, and isn’t able to burn any of those calories. You will feel sluggish and miserable especially when the scale isn’t changing. To lose weight you need to fuel your body properly and with exercise and proper nutrition create a caloric deficit that works for you!!
